9-62 Upgrading Your Server
Installing Additional Battery for RAID Controller
Take the following steps to install an additional battery for RAID controller.
1. See page 9-4 to prepare.
2. Pull out the server from the rack (as described on page 9-4).
3. Remove the logic cover (as described on page 9-25).
4. Hold the riser card handle and bracket as shown in the figure on the right, and remove the
riser card.
If the card is hard to remove, hold down the server while lifting the card.
IMPORTANT: Carefully remove the riser card so as not to contact
any other components.
5. Disconnect cables from the RAID controller.
6. Remove screws from the RAID controller, and then remove the RAID controller.
